House lies on the ground, contemplating the ramifications of lying to Cuddy. Lie and potentially save a life, or act truthfully and risk almost certain death? It's always wrong to tell a lie, yet here we are contemplating ethical dilemmas. What an awesome - dreadful - responsibility, was it worth it Adam?

It never ceases to amaze me, the attitude many posses towards God, ministry, and that thing known as 'every day life'. Yet when someone says something along the lines of, "on the way to... for a weekend of ministry. Expecting great things", it causes me to pause and think. Surely it seems reasonable to expect 'great things' during a weekend of ministry, but why is that I hardly ever never hear or read: 'Ah! Monday morning. A day full of opportunities. Expecting great things!" Perhaps it's simply assumed that every day we should expect great things, but that as this is a weekend of ministry, we should be especially expectant. What bothers me is that this 'assumption' turns out to be little more than an intellectual acknowledgement, amidst a sea of actions speaking to the contrary.
How quickly Jesus is ignored, and John who reported, and Augustine who expounded:
When you hear the Lord saying: "Where I am, my servant also will be" (Jn 12:26), you are not to think merely of good bishops and clerics. Be yourselves also, in your own way, ministers of Christ by the goodness of your lives, by giving alms, by preaching his name and doctrine to the extent that this is possible for you.
